In the autumn of 1994 a number of church ministers in Haringey began meeting together as friends to pray for each other, for each other’s congregations, and for the borough. Four years later the initiative had developed into Pray Haringey, with dozens of different congregations and leaders committed to relational unity and strategic prayer. To this day Pray Haringey has maintained a focus on networking and stimulating prayer for the community. Leaders from across the congregations meet for united prayer at The Gospel Centre, Wightman Rd, Hornsey N8 at 6 o’clock every Wednesday morning.

Text Box: I urge, then, first of all, that requests, prayers, intercession and thanksgiving be made for everyone, for kings and all those in authority, that we may live peaceful and quiet lives in all godliness and holiness... I want men everywhere to lift up holy hands in prayer, without anger or disputing.
1 Timothy 2
